As a Christian radio station, Joy Gospel Radio`s broadcasting policy is first and foremost to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. To build up believers in their faith and to lead people to faith in Christ.
The basis of our broadcasting policy
The Bible is the only basis. Therefore, views based on revelations, dreams, manifestations, and visions should align with Scripture.
We aim to proclaim the complete counsel of God. We emphasize the victory of Jesus Christ through His death on the cross. His resurrection, His ascension and His second coming.
The general spirit and trend of programmes should always be Biblical.
Joy Gospel Radio does not grant opportunities to churches per se. It invites individuals with presentation abilities from various churches to present or take part in programmes. We do not allow proselytizing. All presenters must endorse our Statement of Faith. Joy Gospel Radio will not participate in or enhance specific church rituals and dogmas.
The programme content must reflect the broad spectrum of the listenership.
Broadcasts only allow for Joy Gospel Radio fund requests.
Christian radio station broadcasting policy – Other
Our broadcasting policy recognizes that South Africa is a multi-religious country. Freedom of worship is a constitutional right. We respect the right of other religious groups to proclaim their convictions. Therefore, we do not allow criticism of other religions. However, on Joy Gospel Radio, we only broadcast the timeless truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Controversial Matters, Persons, and Organisations
Joy Gospel Radio is committed to being relevant and may cover these issues in designated programmes. The MD or his delegate will oversee the above matters. We handle theological and religious matters of lesser controversy over which Christians may differ with sensitivity. The propagating of party–political viewpoints is inadmissible.
The music played may consist of different styles and presentations. However, we insist upon two absolute requirements for vocal music. Firstly, the content must be consistent with Scripture (free interpretation), and secondly, the words must be audible.
Joy Gospel Radio reserves the right to use its discretion in choosing and editing all programmes according to its Broadcasting Policy and Statement of Faith. The Chief Executive Officer’s decision is final.
